One of a Kind Decorative Wooden Wall Mask

Hand-carved by refugee artisans from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, this one of a kind wooden mask is created at the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative in Kenya. After carving the form by hand, the artisans finish parts of the mask through a traditional burnishing process that lightly chars the wood, giving it a deep, smoky tone.

Vibrant hand-painted accents in red, blue, and yellow highlight the bold geometric shapes and expressive lines, drawing inspiration from classic Central African mask-making traditions. While made for decorative use, the design echoes the storytelling and ceremonial art of the region.

This mask comes fitted with a sturdy twine loop on the back, making it easy to hang and display on your wall.
